With joint funding of Rs. 410.35 lakhs from the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, BIT established the Technology Business Incubator in 2007.
TBI promotes entrepreneurial leadership mainly in agricultural and allied fields, facilitates entrepreneurial activity amongst students.
TBI invites entrepreneurs to use its services to develop end products for commercialization. BIT’s – TBI will assist the students who want to consult their creative ideas, develop a project, and in raising their entrepreneurship.
SVB Scholarship Test
Bannari Amman Group’s SVB Foundation offers 100% scholarship on College fees for the top 25 students in SVB Foundation SCHOLARSHIP TEST and selecting any Branch of Engineering / Technology in Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) through the single window system.
SVB Foundation Test is one of the most prestigious scholarship examinations for class 12 and Polytechnic students. If cleared, it gives students the monetary benefits throughout higher education.
BACR
BACR is essentially a non-profit enterprise initiated by the Bannari Amman Educational Trust, Coimbatore and managed by Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam.

Learning Centre
The BIT Learning centre stands as an epitome of intellectual elegance and a repository of technical education, in particular, Engineering and Technology.
A central air-conditioned 5 storied new Learning Centre was built in an area of 8240 sq.m (88662 sq.ft) on par with international standards to cater to the prerequisites of pedagogy in an exemplary manner.
The fully automated Learning Centre provides an ambience conducive for the teaching and learning process with the support of 89,000 volumes of text and reference books with RFID based Library Management System.
Organic Farm
Subjects like teaching and engineering are skill-based. In these subjects, practical knowledge is more important than theoretical knowledge.
BIT helping students to acquire professional and practical skills as well as academic and theoretical knowledge.
Our Agriculture students cultivating a farm inside the campus and learning about corps, seeds and farming technologies through practical research and experiments, which would help the students to understand the marketing and real-time difficulties of farming and agriculture.
Fund for Students’ Project
To support and encourage the student’s initiative and creativity BIT grants funds for students’ own projects for its development and participation in national and international level events.
The Grants may be used to defray the cost of research materials and supplies, for travel to a research site critical to the project’s completion.
It can be also used for preparing project results for publication or display, or for purchasing materials needed for a creative project.
Funds granted by the management are, in short, designed to give students the support they need to start a project (i.e., seed money) and move that project to completion.
Green Initiatives
Bannari Amman Institute of Technology has adopted many green cover initiatives, thereby embellishing the eco-friendly ambience of the Campus.
Several Green Initiatives have been implemented in the Campus including,

Campus Infrastructure
The college’s entire 181-acre site with the grounds boasting an array of interesting trees.
It’s probably no surprise to discover that there are plenty of trees peppering the institution’s picturesque campus.
On BIT campus every street and road inside the college campus are adorned with tall trees bearing emerald green leaves and attractive flowers to devise a homogenous feel amongst everyone within the campus.

Sports Facilities
At BIT, we lay a strong emphasis on sports and physical development. Our sports curriculum is planned and designed for students to develop and enhance skills like strength, speed, endurance, agility, flexibility, control, balance, etc.
Faculties from the department of Physical Education are highly energetic with a good amount of expertise in sports and provide coaching for sports like Cricket, athletics, volleyball, football, basketball, throw ball, Hockey etc and also training in Tamil traditional sports like silambam, kabaddi, sword fighting to the students.
Food Facilities
Our institution is striving to give the best food for the students. We are providing both South Indian and North Indian thalis with lots of variety and hygiene. Our kitchen is modernized, very spacious and hygienic. Advanced automated kitchen equipment is utilized for the preparation of food. Purified water from Reverse Osmosis is used for cooking and drinking.
Extracurricular Activities
There are two Students’ Centres – one for the men and the other for the women, which has facilities for several indoor and outdoor games. The centres also have an entertainment hall with a movie projector and large-screen television sets and reading rooms. To ensure the sound body housing the sound mind, most modern gyms are made available to the students.
BIT Hostels
It is a common perception that, hostel life has a unique impact on the pattern of students’ life.
Culture in BIT hostels makes the students self-dependent. It makes them smart, active and disciplined.
BIT has Well-furnished hostels separately for boys and girls with four, double and single occupancy rooms, with separate guest rooms.
The living rooms are built with aesthetic layout, containing wardrobe, Reading lights, individual cots, and storage space.
BIT Men’s Hostel
Men’s Hostel consists of four blocks named Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond. Overall, the four blocks have 915 rooms with 2902 members’ capacity.
BIT Women’s Hostel
Women’s hostel has seven blocks named Ganga, Yamuna, Narmadha, Cauvery, North Bhavani, South Bhavani, and Old Bhavani. Overall, the seven blocks can accommodate 2199 members in 639 rooms.
BIT Hostel Mess
Well planned and equipped servicing counters, highly modernised kitchen, cold storage and dishwashing machine form a part of residential functions. Four separate dining facilities for girls and another 7 dinings for boys with a total seating capacity of 5250 are available with the provision for hot, normal and cold water.
BIT Learning Centre
The BIT Learning centre stands as an epitome of intellectual elegance and a repository of technical education, in particular, Engineering and Technology. The Learning Centre of the institute plays a pivotal role in the process of promoting and demonstrating a desire for information, knowledge, and understanding among the students, and aiding them in the development of their professional, personal, and spiritual lives.

High Achievements Always Takes Place in the Framework of High Expectation.
- The women Teams from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology participated in the IEEE YESIST’ 12 an International talent show for the students and emerged as the champion among 35 teams, from over 19 countries participated. The team Pulverizers won the championship title with a cash prize of $1000.
- “The BIT’ian team” from BIT Hackathon Lab participated in the IEEE YESIST ’12 in Thailand. They got selected for the IEEE YESIST – 2020, in Malaysia without an entry fee.
- BITians from the Sustainable Civil Engineering materials laboratory won 3rd prize in the Fibre-reinforced Composite event organized by American Concrete Institute. The winners were awarded a trophy, 250 $ prize money.
- Students from the Department of Mechatronics, Automation Lab won the international level IIOT talent contest and received Second Prize with Cash Award Rs.20,000/-, in the Delta Advanced automation contest, in China.
- BIT Civil engineering students’ team yazhivil made a concrete canoe. It was the first Indian team to represent ASCE – INDIA Section in the National Concrete Canoe Competition in Melbourne, FL, USA.
