About 2019 B.E/B.Tech Admission at Tamilnadu Government Colleges

Students who wish to secure admission in government or private engineering colleges across the state can apply for centralised counselling process, i.e., Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA).

Eligibility Criteria for B.E/B.Tech Admissions in Tamil Nadu 2019

Eligibility Criteria: A pass in the HSC or its equivalent with a minimum average marks of 55.00% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together or any other equivalent qualification with relevant subjects approved by the Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu. For more details Click here.

Tamil Nadu B.E/B.Tech Counselling Process 2019

As mentioned earlier, Tamil Nadu B.Tech admission and counselling process is completely online. The TNEA counselling process involves different stages, and the same can be checked below.

Registration: Candidates will have to open TNEA website to register for the counselling process. For registration purpose, the candidates need a valid E-Mail ID and Mobile Number. The login id and password will be generated after the submission of the above details.

Application Fee Payment:. The TNEA application fee for reserved categories is Rs. 250 and Rs. 500 for General category.

The TNEA application fee can be paid in online mode by using Credit/ Debit Card/ Internet Banking.

Application Form Filling: TNEA online application form will be activated after the counselling fee payment.

Application Submission: Check the details entered in the online application form before clicking on ‘Submit’ button.

Random Number: A random number will be generated after the submission of application. Candidates can check the random number on the printout copy of application form.

Verification of Certificates: The candidates will be called accordingly for certificate verification. It is mandatory to carry all the required documents for certificate verification. The admission authority will confirm the details of candidates only after the certificate verification.

Declaration of Merit/ Rank List:  TNEA authority will release a merit/ rank list that comprises the name of the candidates, category, rank, and normalised score. Candidates who feature in TNEA merit/ rank list are allowed to take part in choice entry/ option entry process.Online Choice Filling/ Option Entry: The candidates must log in to the TNEA website and fill the option entry form.
