Theory of Evolution
The change in permanent characteristics of anything is what I call as an Evolution. It is the driving force of all the innovation and improvement we see around. This character change can be of any form. It’s unpredictable. For example, the human beings are highly unpredictable in nature. But this shouldn’t be confused with the actual “Theory of Evolution”. Charls Darwin has discussed about this concept, in his book “On the Origin of Species” in 1859. He says, in order to survive it is necessary to adapt to the environments. If we don’t, then we may not survive. Now, the question is, why do you want to survive? And what is the necessity for it? Or to put it in another way “How far we have evolved?” and “What is the end result?”.
The humans evolved from the monkey. Obviously, one doesn’t have to do much research into this topic. We can relate the human with the monkey. Humans have two legs, two hands, one head with eyes, nose and ear fixed in it. Similarly, the monkeys do. But, apart from these common features, they do have something which we human don’t. You will find the answer for this at the end of this blog. Don’t skip to the end of the blog, searching for the answer. If you are really willing to know, you have to imagine yourself as a monkey. The human beings follow this method of knowing or searching for answers. And many of them have succeeded in it.
Happy Monkey
When I was a small boy, my grandma used to tell a lot of stories. Mostly grandmas are for telling stories. Some of you, reading this blog, may have become or might become a grandma. But mine is special, as I am going to tell one of her stories. It is the story of a Monkey. As any storyteller would start with, let’s begin.
“Once upon a time, there lived a monkey. This monkey had no feelings and emotions. All it does is, wake up, eat, dance and sleep. Everything was available freely. Actually, the monkey had everything to lead a normal life. He could find trees bearing fruit round the year. Pure water from the river and fresh air for breathing. What else one would wish for. The monkey was leading a beautiful and happy life.
One day a human being was passing by the monkey place. He was surprised and astonished to see the life of the monkey. Actually, this human is none other than the Sadhu, the one who wanders in the jungles. This sadhu does a lot of activities and perform skills. The skills are yoga and martial arts. Like a nomad, the humans are not fixed in any place. Even after doing all the advanced level of mental training, still they are confused. They do things, which is beyond the level of our understanding. I have seen, some of them are refugees in another country. Let’s not deviate from our story.
Evolution of Human characteristics
So, this human, seeing the monkey, becomes jealous. I don’t know how far it’s true. In this world, if you are happy, nobody would like it. This is one of the characteristics of the evolved human being. It’s prevalent in every human being. And if you want to survive, it is must to possess this character. I am going to enlighten you about the important characteristics, which one must possess. See, whatever I am saying, is that of my grandma’s. I have nothing to do with it. It’s up to you to decide and how to take it.
The human asked the monkey about the secret of his happiness. The monkey without knowing the cunning nature of the human, explains everything. Now, this human returns to the hometown. He told all about the monkey and this news spreads as a fire everywhere. All humans decided to go to the jungle to lead a happy life. They burned tree, polluted water and built a house. Days passed; the happy monkey couldn’t be found anywhere.
The humans have evolved, they have learnt to adapt to the environment. They can go to any extent in order to survive. Their brains are always in a hyper state. This makes them believe that, they are immortals. We have lots to discuss about the evolution of the human beings. This is just the beginning and the monkey story is not yet finished. To be continued in the next part.
