Technology – a double edged sword
Technology – a double edged sword
“Technology is, of course, a double edged sword.
Fire can cook our food but it can also burn us”.
Technology has been witnessed as a two edged sword. Some people feel it raises the quality of life while others feel it creates new problems that threatens the quality of life. There is nothing constant, but changes. Man throughout history has been developing in all spheres of life. the man started like an ordinary animal in jungles and has now vanquished the planets beyond planet earth. Quality of life obviously improves with development of technology. However, every development has some reaction as well. A simple example is invention of motor vehicles. Now a days, distance can be travelled in just a minutes. However, do we think that this luxury has taken the blessings of walk and fitness from us.
Now, we like to sit and travel, hence we don not burn our calories, adding more and more fats to our bodies. As a result of these luxurious life style, we faces heart diseases, diabetes and blood pressure. On the another way, we are also improving our day to day life with the use of new technologies. Internet has reduces our daily life so much. Using it we can contact peoples through e-mails, chatting and talking live calls, shopping or managing bank accounts online. These are the blessings of developed technology. It seems that we are making our life easier with these things but we can move ahead a better and healthy lifestyle with the proper use of technologies, so that we can save our future.
“This is why I loved technology:
If you used it on the right way, it could give you power and privacy”.
-Cory Doctorow.
