Now talking about the profession, we would face certain difficulty in choosing. Large scale options are available for us to choose among. The way choose matters. All of us would have some passion or interest in our life. Some choose a dream profession, while most people choose a profession that yields a lot of money. It’s between gratification and requirements.
Profession, while observing deeply, we could say it in two different words, job and career. Are these two jobs and careers similar? Yes, they both help in earning money but with lots of differences among them. A job is usually short-term based, while a career is a long-term based activity. A job is ultimately focused only on money. A career is that you gain knowledge and experience that could advance you in that field, so you will reach greater heights in the chosen field.
Difference between job and career:
So what makes job and career different? Is it enough to get a degree, to acquire a job or career? Let’s discuss these in detail.
Now, what is a job?
A job is a basic activity or work that is been performed by a person to get income. It is merely, called a trip because it is short term based activity so that you will be kept on hopping from one to another. There will be no development in your professional skills due to this hopping.
In a job, you always try to spend your time only to earn money and nothing else, which acts as a means of fulfillment of your temporary need. If you are into a job, your heart will not involve in it so you will not mind getting deep into it, which in turn makes you feel unhappy about your living.
In the case of Monday mornings, you will feel much tired and hate getting back to work. The main reason why people prefer a job is it offers regular income and ensures job safety. A job can also be said as a contract laid between the employee and the employer, so there happens only the exchange of work with money. A job might also be taken full-time or part-time.
Then, what is a career?
A career as a goal towards professional and skill development, which are a vital part of an individual’s life. A career is what you choose from heart, which in turn helps in reaching great heights in the field. It is a long term process, wherein each stage you acquire some knowledge and experience, hence, a career is said to be a journey of a work-life. In a career, you tend to spend time following your life ambitions.
Apart from satisfying the temporary needs, it gives heartfelt happiness. This makes an individual more interested and enthusiastic about Monday mornings. There will be no space for boredom and tiredness. The basic thing needed for a career is a mere degree and training in the very field.
One can sustain in a career, only if he/she is readily involving himself/herself in making innovations, learning daily and being updated with every advancement in the field, and being daring enough to take risks. If you are on a career, your mere focus will not be on your payment, it lays on developing a strong relationship with the most important persons in the field. The money will be in second place if you are working in a place that you chose from the heart. It is a very common thing to have hard feelings in the workspace. Only the person into the profession with love can sustain it and continue to work with happiness, by not reflecting the hard feeling into work.
When you are into a career, you love working beyond the expectation, so that the company succeeds, which in turn helps in your success. Since you are attached to your job through the heart than mind, you definitely won’t mind working more. Career is redefined as a passion.
A career is a profession that a person is carrying out for a long period that he/she is trained for. Career is usually made up of a series of jobs carried out by a person, in the very particular field chosen. A person who is willingly taking up the career will eventually be interested in learning and acquiring the needed experience and skills.

So, do you think a job can affect your career? If yes, in what ways it may affect?
Yes, jobs have a great impact on careers. You may take up a job that may or may not be related to your passion. If it is related to your passion then you will be working on with love and interest, developing yourself to fit into the job and work hard to acquire the needed experience that will make up your career. If it is not related to your passion, you will work only for money and that may not help you in anyways to develop your personality or career. There you keep a full-stop to your passion.
