Body Language
“Body language is more powerful than words”.
Body language is a part of communication that very few actually study yet it makes up most of what we use to communicate and is generally much more accurate a judge of meaning than are the words we use. Even when we don’t express our thoughts verbally, most people constantly throw off clues to what they are thinking and feeling. Non- verbal messages communicated through the sender’s body movements, facial expressions, vocal tone and volume shows their postures.
“Your body communicate as well as your mouth.
Don’t contradict yourself”.
Body language isn’t always as clear as spoken language, but how we interpret it can play a big role in how we relate to and interact with others. It’s a silent orchestra- micro-expressions, hand gestures and postures register in our brains almost immediately , even when we are not consciously aware of them. These moments of recognition, however brief can have long lasting repercussions for how we interpret others motivation, mood and openness, as well as how our own inner selves are perceived.
“Your body language shapes
who you are”.
Body language may be the determining factor in a job interview. if the applicant’s body language conveys that he is at ease with the subject matter and convey confidence he has a higher probability of getting the job in this tough job market.
“We communicate all the time,
even when we don’t realize it.
Be aware of body language”.
