BIT Walked off with Tamil Nadu Government’s Environmental Protection and Management Award
Environmental Awards is one of the highest environmental honour of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The award celebrates outstanding and meritorious figures/organizations from the public and private sectors whose actions have had a transformative, positive impact on the environment in the respective year.
We are more than honoured to proclaim that Bannari Amman Institute of Technology has been presented with the “Environmental Protection and Management”(Dr Gurusamy Mudaliyar Viruthu)award by our Government of Tamil Nadu.
The Tamil Nadu Government’s Environmental Protection and Management Award 2017 recognized our BIT organization for our contributions to the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development.
BIT stands ahead among other institutions by planting 4250 native tree species, to increase the green cover area of the campus more than 14,000 flowering trees, shrubs, herbs have been planted and landscaped in over 20 acres.
We also plan to introduce the planting of saplings by the students for adducible greenery within the college and also instil awareness towards nature in their brains.
We consider that a fresh, green and a pollution free environment provides a primitive backdrop for an effective learning experience.
That’s how we protect our environment and give a favourable impact on society.
Congratulations and Thanks to all the faculties, students and cleaning staff in BIT who played such an important role in this achievement of our institution and for their continued generosity and support. Together, we can continue to help our government with their mission to create opportunities for a better life for everyone in our country.
