VASTU – FOR A DREAM HOUSE

Vastu Shastra is a traditional science of architecture also for construction in India. Vastu mean that building Positive Energy into the house. Human body is surrounded by three major energies viz., Earth Energies, directional Energies and Cosmic Energies also referred as Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Forty five natures of energy fields bounded on a human body are existing in the trinity of Energy. Balancing of all Energy fields in the trinity of Energy is called Vastu.

The People began to understand the importance of Vastu Shastra in order to create a perfectly balanced home, with full of positive energies that helps to keep away negative energies. It is necessary to allow positive energies to flow freely inside the home in order to attain good health, well-being and happiness. Deny Vastu, but don’t deny the science. Nature has prevalent behavior viz., soil has some effect, and air may flows in certain direction in certain seasons, sunlight will enter into house. All these things obviously affect the house environment. The concept of both vastu and science has similar blended views, so that focus on Vastu while constructing a building is required. As we all know that the house where we live should have love and warmth to attain positive vibration. It is a recognized and well-observed science which manipulates the forces of nature to work in favor of us. Modern research also substantiated that the vastu – an ancient science has a well-founded scientific basis. So, Vastu to be considered before planning a new house.

1. Orientation – Directions of a building to have maximum cosmic energy force of five natural elements.
2. Site planning – Design layout concepts in construction for a better living space.
3. Proportioning of dimensions – Measurement of occupancy spaces to have a harmony of a property.
4. Co-ordination – Enhance perfect architectural coordination with structural elements/systems.
5. Aesthetics – Rhythmic view and elegant nature of plot perspectives.

Simple Vastu Tips!!!!!!!

• North-east facing is an auspicious direction for Puja Ghar.
• Southern facing bedroom is good for removing conflict in family.
• South-facing of head while sleeping gives better wealth and prosperity in life, while in East facing improves the power of memory and brain retention capacity.
• Do not eat in bedroom or on the bed. Both may cause a health disorder.
• Thorny plants like cactus to be avoided inside the home.
• North-east, north-west, north, west and east directions are preferred for Study room.
• East or North-West facing is good for Bathroom location.
• Plot dimensions should not possess improper shape.

How to plan our dream House!!!

Dream House to be energized by Five Elements viz Earth, Water, Fire, Sky and Air in around 16 directions of a home and also to the occupants of house.

1. Entrance: While purchasing a new property the entrance gate should face towards north, east or north-east. South and west entrances are not recommended for house. The superior quality of wooden doors is preferred as main door. Placing shoe rack and dustbin outside the main door should be avoided. Bathroom should not be located near the main door. Avoid painting the main door with black color. Ensure opening of main doors in a clockwise manner (opened inwards- Like welcoming everyone).
2. Ventilation and Sunlight: Proper ventilation in the house is governed by natural sun lighting. The house must be open, airy with plenty of sunlight. Sunlight not only gives ventilation and also prevents unwanted entry of germs, removes unpleasant smell. A North or East Facing windows or balconies are recommended for the Vastu to be complete. If two adjacent houses are to be constructed, it should not be shared by a common wall as it creates mixed energies.
3. Living Room: East, north or north-east facing living rooms are preferred. North-west facing living room is also preferred as an alternate one. Placing furniture on west or south-west direction of the living room is attractive. Electronic appliances can be placed at south-east section of the living room. Placing of mirror in the room, should be on the north wall
4. Bedroom: South-west facing bedroom gives good health and prosperity. Avoid north-east or south-east facing bedroom. The southwest corner of the bedroom is preferred for placing bed, with head facing west. Avoid placing a mirror and television in front of the bed. Painting of bedroom walls with earthy shades is attractive as it radiates positive energy. Avoid painting walls with black and dark shades. Temple paintings or photos depicting water / fountains should be avoided in the bedroom.
5. Kitchen: The kitchen should be on the South-East corner of the house (Aagneya), or the direction looked by fire element. The kitchen platform should be in the East or South-East corner of the house.
6. Water Tank: The water tank can be placed in the North-east Corner of the building where the ray of the sunlight and thus maintains the purity of the water.
7. Toilets and Bathroom: The washroom / Rest rooms should be preferably placed on the South West or Southern corner of the house.
8. Pooja Room: North-east facing is preferred for placing Pooja room in a house. Prefer north face while praying, even facing East is also preferred.
