Temples are not simple buildings with roofs and walls. It incorporates all the elements of life which is considered to be more essential to live a meaningful life. James mill symbolizes India as an uncivilized nation during the British reign. He is unaware about the true scenario of our skills and structural constructions. A normal Indian Temple inscribes all the elements of the Hindu cosmos representing The God, Evil and the Humans. It is not only a symbol of Hindu Religion actually it is a place to depict our ancient arts, celebrations and economic status of the nation.
Unique qualities of special temples
All temples in India have basic structural uniqueness in their construction, but each and every temple has some special greatness embedded in it. Here, we can see three temples which posses some specialties in it which is very interesting and astonishing because these things are built opposite the natural activities but releases positive vibes everywhere.
Lepakshi temple
This temple located in Andhra Pradesh. World’s most famous hanging pillars of this temple is still wondering by great sculptors because we can move a piece of cloth from one side to another, but it stands erect for more than 500 years, against the gravitational force, these pillars pose a challenge to us to unravel their mystery. But it is yet to be unfolded. This temple is also called as veerabhadra temple which has another specialty in its FRESCO painting on the ceiling which is Asia’s largest with measurement 23 by 13 feet. Beautiful stories of 14 Avatars of lord Shiva. This temple includes another surprising large foot print engraved in the floor, which is believed to be the footprint of Lord Hanuman.
Jagannath Temple
This temple which is located in the Puri is world famous for many of its hidden secrets and specialties. The first surprise is, this temple is located in the coastal region where a beautiful flag is hoisted on the top of Sikhara by the priest everyday and it is an as tall as the 45 storied building. As it is near to the shore, at that height flag wave in the opposite direction against wind, still it is a miracle that how the flag flies in different direction.
Another surprisign fact is 12 years once the idol of the temple which is made of wood is changed. Only the priest enters the room with eyes blindfolded to take away the heart chamber of the idol. It was made thousands and thousands of years back, but it resembles to the nuclear reactor with a liquid resembling mercury. We don’t know who made it, how it works and the sound reproduced from it is different. No one is allowed on seeing it and on the particular day the entire village power is shut down.
Mundeshwari Devi Temple
In India, there are 64 crore God and Goddess with large varieties of temples. Each and every temple is unique in their structure or deities or it will be different in its rituals. This Mundeshwari Devi temple in Bihar is considered to be the oldest functional Hindu Temple. The survey made by the Indian Archaeological department concluded that it may be constructed around 625 CE. The inscriptions denoting the year 635 CE were found in the temple premises. The specialty is its construction style which follows the Nagara style architecture. Earlier it was not believed to be the oldest temple later Royal seal of Shri Lankan Emperor Maharaja Duttha gamani (101- 315 AD) recovered in the year 2003 changed the entire history. It is believed that the monks who travelled from Srilanka to Bodh Gaya through Dakshinapath Highway may be missed this Royal order which helps to reveal the truth. It is strongly believed by the local folks that these temples were built by the sons of Demon Mahishasur who was killed by Devi Durga. The son’s name is Munda so the temple is named as Mundeshwari Temple. The great mystery is that, this temple was rebuilt during Gupta Dynasty with a huge renovation work, but the Royal charter was found only in 2003 and the cascade kept belongs to 110 CE. It inscribes the Naga script with srilankan royal seal.
