“Its Going To Be A Man Making and Wholesome Education At BIT!!”
With a highly motivated and cheerful speech from the invited Guests, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology welcomed a new batch of BE/B.Tech students for the academic year 2019-2020.
The function was held in the presence of highly crowded audience consisting of students, parents and invited guests, at BIT Main Auditorium, on 28-07-2019 at 10:30am.
The function started with the prayer song by students. Dr C. Palanisamy, Principal of BIT welcomed the gatherers.
Dr P. Thangaraj, Dean – Academics, Training and Skill Development introduced the HODs to the parents and Students.
Our Chairman Thiru. S. V. Balasubramaniam presided over the function. He honoured the chief guest Kalai Maa Mani Solvendhar Thiru Suki Sivam by adorning shawl with a memento.
Our Trustee Dr M P Vijayakumar IAS (retd) honoured another chief guest Padmashree Dr R. V. Ramani, Founder of The Shankara Eye Foundation by adorning shawl with a memento.
Our beloved Chairman Thiru. S. V. Balasubramaniam delivered the Presidential Address, in which he praised the Chief guests and said,
“In BIT, we are giving practical and activity-based education, thereby students can enhance their skills and knowledge. He also added that, Students of BIT are performing in world-class stages and BIT gives much importance on practical rather than the Theory”.
He also pointed out the placement for the BE/B.Tech and achievements of the college and said that the institution is built only for the students and he also explained about the infrastructure, facilities, teaching faculties and Lab facilities in the college. He advised the students to utilize all the facilities offered by BIT to grow their skills.
The Trustee Dr M P Vijayakumar IAS (retd) rendered the Special Address in that he said,
“Engineers influence in every aspect of our lives, Without engineers the world can’t exist”
In addition, he said that while looking for a BE/B.Tech college we should look for two aspects namely, basic infrastructure, good professors and students should use them well to groom their skills and future.
Our trustee advised the students to learn to face problems in their forthcoming life and to enhance their self-confidence, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, good approaching and communication skill, presence of mind in their 4 years of college.
He said BIT has a very spacious campus, good food and water facilities, best management and he gave assurance for their bright future.
Padmashree Dr R.V. Ramani presented the special address in that he appreciated the students and he said
“It’s going to be a man making and wholesome education at BIT”
He advised the students to develop their robust skill and to have a passion for their BE/B.Tech stream. After that, he also told them to keep good health to build a better tomorrow.
The chief guest Kalai Maa Mani Solvendhar Thiru Suki Sivam delivered the Chief guest address. He motivated the students to develop self-confidence and pointed out that the true engineers who have creative, innovative skills with good knowledge will definitely get a good job.
He mentioned that,
BIT is the institution which gives importance to practical learning and asked the students to make use of it.
He advised the students to develop their communication skills and leadership quality.

Some of the parents of first-year students expressed their thoughts and excitement in the ceremony, who were on the stage of happiness and proximity of parental relationship.
The inauguration function came to an end on a happy note by Dr K. Sivakumar, Dean – Planning and Development, who delivered the vote of thanks and the function ended with National anthem.
