Flipkart Sees Strong Rise In Seller Base

On Tuesday he says E-Commerce major Flipkart had witnessed a strong growth in its seller base this year driven by ‘Steady increase’ in merchants from ties -2 and 3 cities that now accounted for almost 45% of the totally. The company said it had added sellers from small towns such as Baleshwar, Gobindgarh, Tirunelveni , Siuri and lalgola. Almost 45% of our sellers base is from tier-2\3 cities like Ludhiana , Agra , Panipat ,Surat etc. We have been notice steady increase in interest and acquisition of sellers from smaller cities. “Flipkart senior director Nishant Gupta says the number of sellers from tier -2\3 cities coming on board flipkart in  2018 is 3 times of 2017, The company was working with sellers from over 10,000 pincodes and the focussing on adding tier-2\3 cities, he added.
