Delta Advanced Automation Contest
The Delta Advanced Automation Contest supports the spirit of education reform and the building of platforms for automation technology teaching in universities. It also aims to generate enthusiasm among college students by promoting extracurricular scientific and technological activities in automation technology.
The Contest echoes Delta’s brand spirit of “Smarter. Greener. Together” and strengthens college students’ programming and debugging skills by integrating theory and real practice. In addition to developing student innovation capacity and spirit of cooperation, the Contest enhances exchanges and cooperation between colleges and enterprises.
6th Delta Advanced Automation Contest, China
Delta Electronics, a global provider of power and energy management, hosting International Automation Event titled “The 6th edition of Delta Cup – a global competition on Advanced Automation Design Contest” at Delta’s Wujiang Plant in Jiangsu, China.
A total of 75 teams selected from colleges and universities from Taiwan, China, Thailand and India to interact and share their ideas. They have earned a place to participate in the final contest and award ceremony at Delta Electronics (Jiang Su), Co., Ltd, in China on July 23-26.

BITians Cracked First Position in National Level
A team named B-Iotians from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology consisting the students, Mr. Tharun selvan T, Mr. Suhas K C, Mr. Sanjaykrishnan E from Mechatronics department, under the guidance of Mr. Sivabalakrishnan R, Asst Professor MTRS cracked first position in proposal submission for their project “Better Future Work” and got selected to participate in the finals and award ceremony on behalf of India.
There were various educational institutions like Anna University, CEG, VIT, R.V.College of engineering, Bangalore, SRM University and other universities from India who had submitted a project proposal for this contest. Among all the colleges and Universities from India BITians got the first position for their proposal.
BITians going to participate in China on behalf of India
The Contest is divided into two stages: The online preliminaries and the finals (on-site demo for semi-finals and oral defence for the final). The best 15 teams will enter the finals held at the Wujiang plants of the Delta Group, China.
Our BIT students became one of the semi-finalists in the 6th Delta Advanced Automation contest and will give on-site demos and proposal presentations, at the final ceremony in China during July 23- 26, 2019.
